PM inaugurates CPEC’s western route

ZHOB: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday has inaugurated two vital road arteries of the Western Corridor of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in Zhob, Balochistan.

PM laid foundation stone for upgradation of Zhob-Mughal Kot (N-50) and Qila Saifullah-Wagum (N-70) roads.

The 81-kilometer N-50 project, a part of CPEC, to be completed at the cost of Rs 8.80 billion by 2018. The 126-kilometer N-70 project will cost Rs 7.50 billion and it would also be completed by 2018.

Earlier Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai and Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri welcomed PM Nawaz when he reached Zhob.

Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Abadul Qadir Baloch, leaders of political parties including Maulana Fazalur Rehman, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Mir Hasil Bezanju, Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Mushahid Hussain Syed, Abbas Afridi, and others also accompanied the Prime Minister.

While addressing the inaugurating ceremony Nawaz Sharif said that Gwadar is important not only for Pakistan but for Asia as well as it is going to be the backbone of Pakistan economy.

He thanked Indian PM Narendra Modi for his visit to Pakistan and stressed that dialogue process should be continued as the fresh wave has blown between India and Pakistan.
