Pakistan squad for New Zealand T20 series finalized

LAHORE: Middle order batsman Sohaib Maqsood and Umar Akmal are likely to be dropped from the team as Selection Committee finalizes Twnety20 squad for New Zealand tour.

Geo News reported from its sources that selection committee has finalized T20 squad for NZ tour and Sohaib Maqsood and Umar Akmal are not included in 16-men list.

“Both the players may be dropped from T20 team for being out of form,” Geo News reported.

Earlier, PCB stopped young leggie Yasir Shah from the camp after being banned by ICC for testing a banned substance positive.

Zafar Gohar has replaced Yasir Shah in the camp.

As per reports, PCB chief has yet not given any signal about Mohammad Amir in Pakistan team’s come back to selection committee, his inclusion in the team is still hanging in the air.

According to sources, Umar Gul, Zafar GOhar, Imad Wasim and Babar Azam have made their way to top 16.
