PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government ruined the promise made by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) regarding VIP culture as provincial government ordered to block Sher Shah Suri road for Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak’s convoy, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

The road was completely blocked for traffic for ten minutes as the Chief Minister’s convoy left from Archives Hall. Long queues of vehicles could be witnessed and motorists looked perturbed due to the security protocol.

They also violated the order issued by KP government regarding VIP culture.

Earlier, Imran Khan claimed that VIP protocol has been ended in KP and now road would not be closed even if Prime Minister of Pakistan visits the province.

Imran Khan who was leaving for Karachi airport was talking to media and said that “Despite the fact that I’m facing life threats, we can’t put life of people in danger by leaving them waiting for hours at traffic signals due to our security protocols,” he said while speaking to media persons in Karachi.

PTI boss who later left for airport without any VIP protocol, claimed his party government has eliminated ‘VIP culture’ in KP, and vowed that roads would not be closed in KPK even during Prime Minister’s visit to KP.
