KARACHI: Inspector General of Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali and other top officials on Tuesday has been indicted by Sindh High Court in the contempt of court case, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

Jamali and other officials were issued contempt of court notice in case related to siege of Sindh High Court and torture on the former Sindh home minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza’s guards and media men in the court’s premises in March this year.
Earlier the court refused to accept unconditional apologies of police officials terming them ‘submitted without free-will” in the case.
Sindh Chief Secretary had previously requested the court to avoid indictment of IG Ghulam Haider Jamali at least till local bodies elections as the province is facing serious threats to law and order.
However during Tuesday’s hearing court said that enough time has been given to Sindh government for making alternative arrangements and now all officials shall be indicted under contempt of court charges.
