NEW DELHI: India’s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had to clarify to the Parliament of her country as to why she dressed herself up in green saree.
Multiple other ‘great’ objections were also raised against her. She was also grilled to account for her speaking Urdu during Pakistan tour.
Sushma also had to clarify statement on her visit to Pakistan and resumption of the process of a “comprehensive bilateral dialogue”, Swaraj said foreign secretaries of the two countries will work out the modalities under the “new dialogue.
The foreign minister said the aim is to bridge the gulf with the neighbouring country for peace and stability in the region. At the same time, the minister admitted, “Nothing has changed on the ground. At Ufa, it was decided our National Security Advisers would meet.
But they could not meet in September. We all know why. Because we said terror and talks do not go together.” Pakistan insisted that Kashmir should be discussed at the meet.
