ISLAMABAD: As the winter season has came to its peak in Pakistan Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) mafia has started to take advantage of gas shortage in the country.
According to details, the prices of per kilogram gas increased around Rs 10 in the recent days but LPG mafia is charging Rs 20-25 extra per Kg everywhere in the country.
The producer companies are responsible for the price hike as sources have claimed that producer companies were storing the remaining production so that it could be sold in winter season at higher rates.
Here are the rates of LPG in different cities of Pakistan and prices of LPG for domestic use,
Price of per Kg LPG in Karachi is 95 and Rs 1090 per domestic cylinder.
Price of per Kg LPG in Lahore, Gujranwala , Gujrat, Faisalabad, Jehlum, Kasoor, Sialkot, Daska, Peshawar is Rs 105 and 1210 per domestic cylinder
Price of per Kg LPG in Rahim Yar Khan Sadiqabad, Attock, Hyderabad is Rs 105 and Rs 1210 per domestic cylinder
Price of per Kg LPG in Mirpur Azad Kashmir is Rs 110 and Rs 1270 per domestic cylinder
Price of per Kg LPG in Rawalpindi, Abbotabad, Islamabad,Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Kotli, Umer Kot, Mirpur Khas, Jam Shoro, Shikar Pur is Rs 12o and Rs 1390 per domestic cylinder.
Price of per Kg LPG in Gilgit Baltistan,Murre Nathia Gali Balakot is Rs 130 and Rs 1510 per domestic cylinder.
These are the prices fixed by the government of Pakistan in different regions of the country but LPG mafia is in full swing these days and taking advantage of energy crisis and charging Rs 20-25 extra per Kg.
