LAHORE: Postmortem of Sobia Rana’s dead body has been completed but police say forensic report would determine cause of her death.
Sobia was a stage actress who was found dead in her home on Sunday.
The police said during the postmortem no torture marks were found on the body. “Deep marks of rope were visible around her neck… We have sent sample of body parts for forensic test,” a police official said.
The actress was found dead in her room and her family was initially reluctant to allow the officials to carry out medico legal formalities.
According to reports, Sobia Rana, who was performing at local stage for seven years, had an altercation with her sister also a stage actress, a day before her death.
