Holiday was must for LG polls in Islamabad: Asad Umar

ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Member National Assembly (MNA) from NA-48 Islamabad, Asad Umar said that there should be public holiday on polling day in Islamabad, November 30.

According to details, while talking to media Asad said that Polling agents are creating pressure on voters, polling time must be increased as large number of voters are government employees who are going to free after 2 pm and some may likely to miss their right to cast their vote due to shortage of time.

Asad Umar criticised Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and said that it seems like it is sleeping of some important work on such an important day.

It is to be kept in mind that Polling for 1st ever Local Government polls began at 7 am and will continue without any break till 5: 30 pm.
