ISLAMABAD:British media has claimed that Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf divorced his 2nd wife Reham Khan via text message.

According to Daily Mail, Imran Khan sent word ‘talaq,’ which means I divorce you in English, three times in a text message and afterwards he also sent a brief email to Reham Khan.

Also,“The text message and email was received by Reham Khan immediately after her arrival in Birmingham on October 30. She also received a call from close aide of Imran Khan, who confirmed the divorce.”

A source quoted that “If Reham knew that divorce was a possible consequence she would not have left Bani Gala in first place.”

“Imran Khan’s close friend a UK based businessman Zulfi Bukhari is busy in drawing out a financial settlement between the couple. He is also hosting Reham Khan during her stay in UK.”

The newspaper also claimed the divorce is an counterattack of Imran Khan against Reham Khan’s strong will to gain more power. She was also unhappy for Imran’s pet dogs entering her bedroom, while the close relatives of her husband were also made feel being unwelcome in Bani Gala residence.
