ISLAMABAD: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sardar Mohammad Raza Khan on Thursday has denied to meet Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) due to a busy schedule.
According to details, sources said during the requested meeting, Imran Khan was to give the (CEC) evidences of alleged rigging in the NA-122 by-polls.
PTI spokesman Chaudhry Rizwan told media that the (CEC) had turned down the meeting request due to busy schedule and shortage of time.
Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Secretary Babar Yaqoob Fateh Mohammad said the CEC turned down the meeting request as he was busy with local government elections.
He further said that the meeting was declined because it had been requested at a very short-notice.
Also, the (CEC) asked the (PTI)to submit whatever complaints it had in a written form.
