SHARJAH: Anderson, Broad lead the way as England rolled up Pakistan on 234 within the first day of the last Test match of a three-match series against England at Sharjah cricket stadium, Sharjah.
Pakistan lost in first wicket in the third over as skipper Misbah chose to bat first after winning the toss, Azhar Ali was the man to got out by James Anderson for naught.
Hafeez and Malik slowly builtup a short partnership to put Pakistan out of the trouble but Hafeez departed by Moeen Ali for just 27 runs.
Malik departed at 38 runs by Broad-Bairstow collaboration, Soon Younis had joined him in the dressing room after making 31 runs, Asad Shafiq was restricted only to 6 runs
Pakistan at lunch were 87-2 but after lunch English bowlers have shocked pakistani batsmen and at the moment Pakistan are 117-5
Pakistan were indebted to a counter-punching innings from Sarfraz Ahmed, who in partnership with his captain, Misbah-ul-Haq, helped put on 80 runs for the sixth wicket partnership. Such aggression offered further chances to England, with both batsman coming close to picking out fielders as the interval approached.
It was all set for Pakistan in the last session with more than 10 overs to go in the day when Sarfraz played a reckless shot to throw his wicket, and the game turned into England’s favor completely.
Misbah showed some resistance but got out too on 71 after edging a quick one from Anderson.
Pakistan at one stage 196 for 5 , were bundled out on 234 in 85.1 over.
Anderson took four for just 17.
Pakistan and England both have made two two changes for the last and final test of the series Azhar Ali and Rahat Ali are back in for Pakistan, Whereas Wood and Jos Buttler are out from visitors side.
England begins first inning cautiously and score 4/0 at the end of the day.
England trail by 230 runs with 10 wickets remaining in the 1st innings.
