LAHORE: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesman Naeem ul Haq has termed Prime Minister Nawaz Shareef’s press conference in Lahore as pre-poll rigging and silent campaign for re-elections in NA-122.
According to details, PTI has widely criticised PM’s media appearance in Lahore just a day before by re-elections and termed it as pre-poll rigging.
PTI also wrote to Election Commission of Pakistan to take action of PML-N’s silent campaign. It stated that PM’s speech was a bid to influence voters directly.
Vice chairman PTI Shah Mehmood Qureshi said government has come down to adopt cheap tactics to rig re-election in Lahore.
He said ECP should take immediate action of PM’s speech.
Earlier, PM Nawaz Sharif held a long press conference in Lahore in which reminded media and nation of the ‘successful’ and ‘honest’ mega projects PML-N government completed in its tenure.
He mentioned Shahbaz Sharif’s progress several time in his speech-cum-conference and said he stays in minute-o-minute touch with him [PM].
PM lashed at PTI chief without mentioning his name and said he wanted to create unrest in development projects.
Experts have raised eyebrows on timing of first inauguration of Bhikkih power project and then this press conference in Lahore as re-election in NA-122 and NA-144 is just two days away.
