India vs Soth Africa 2nd T20: Spectators cause trouble, match abandoned

indiavsSA.3

CUTTOCK: Just when South Africa was close to win the match, Indian spectators started throwing bottles in the ground that caused to stop the match at Cuttuck, India.

Now a group of Indian players are sitting in a circle in the middle of the ground, having a chat. They look like they could do with a pack of cards. This is pretty disappointing from the crowd.

It’s a game, people! If we are to go by Duckworth/Lewis, South Africa will win – they are ahead of their D/L target by 17 runs.

Match as good as gone, but does India take its T20 games seriously? There seems to be no desire to develop T20 specialists, even with the focus on IPL.

The same set of players keep on playing the game, without any rotation policy, which every other international team seems to have, at least with respect to T20s. Plus, there are some players who might find it hard to score as quickly in T20s, why not try to focus on players who have a better strike rate?”

Current Updates: Before the match halted, South Africa were 64/3 in 11 overs.
