CHAKWAL: At least nine people lost their lives in a deadly collision between a passenger bus and a trailer in Chakwal district of Punjab, TheNewsTribe.com learnt from Samaa.
According to reports, the incident took place on motorway near the Salt Range in Kallar Kahar area where a passenger collided head-on with a trailer.
The road crash left nine people dead on the spot and over 25 others injured. The bodies and injured were shifted to hospitals in Bhalwal and Chakwal cities.
Motorway officials said the ill-fated van was heading to Lahore from Islamabad, carrying nearly 50 passengers, when it met the accident apparently due to over speeding.
Chakwal city is located 90 km south-east of the federal capital, Islamabad.
