Karachi has 155 dengue fever cases in a week

KARACHI: Karachi has registered 155 new cases of dengue fever during the current week bringing the total number of patients to 1169 this year, said Dr. Masood Solangi, Sindh Manager for Dengue Prevention and Control Program here on Wednesday.

Sharing latest data with the media he said three confirmed cases, each of the ailment were also reported from Hyderabad and Larkana respectively besides one from Ghotki.

The disease peculiar to post monsoons, he said does also persist round the year although intensity of incidence may vary.

It is on basis of these facts that efforts are made to ensure regular fumigation across the high risk areas with repeated requests that sanitation situation is improved and maintained, said Dr. Solangi. APP
