Dr Asim confesses sheltering MQM target killers

LAHORE: Former petroleum minister for Sindh Dr Asim Hussain, has confessed to provide shelter to hundreds of target killers associated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in Zia-ud-Din Hospital, reported Daily Pakistan.

According to details the senior Pakistan People’s Party leader revealed he has very close ties with key MQM leaders including Dr Farooq Sattar, Dr Sagheer, Dr Nadeem Nusrat, Mustafa Azizabadi and Adil Siddiqui, and that he appointed Dr Yousuf Sattar Memon as an executive upon request of MQM leaders.

He further added that Memon is an “ideological” worker of MQM and has been treating and protecting MQM’s target killers in his hospitals located in North Nazimabad area of Karachi.

Memon treated hundreds of MQM associated target killers at my hospitals upon instruction of senior MQM leadership, he told investigators. Most of these workers were those injured during criminal activities, he added.
