ISLAMABAD: Pakistani arch rival India has never accepted the growth of Pakistan in any aspect and she never wanted Pakistan to grow up as a strong entity.
According to details Pakistan China Economic Corridor (CPEC) is something that is really hurting for India and she is trying almost every card to create hurdles for it but it is still in progress with full of energy.
According to the CPEC plan, Pakistan may become a trade hub in the region after Gwadar Port starts functioning fully and duty-free economic zones are set up which is unbearable kind of thing for India
This strategic partnership between Pakistan and China has upset India that openly voiced its opposition and even Indian prime Minister Narendra Modi pressed the president of China during a visit to Beijing to drop the plan of developing the corridor but China has refused to accept any pressure and they are stepping ahead with the project speedily.
So India is in search of new alliances to weak this Strategic alliance of Pakistan and China that’s why Modi’s recent visit to united Arab Emirates (UAE) has produced $75 billion investment deals with UAE in Railway Tracks, Airports, Dry Ports etc.
Experts believe the India-UAE nexus will try to fail the Gwadar Port development project and create hurdles in the way of exploration activities in Baluchistan Province of Pakistan.
India is also not happy with the handing over of Gwadar Port development and its operations to China. and it has also created poor law and order situation in Baluchistan which is very rich in oil and gas resources but now gradually everything is going towards Pakistan’s favor and law and order is getting in control in Baluchistan.
India is creating halts for Pakistan but fortunately Pakistan is still keeping its pace towards growth and policy makers of Pakistan should be working to accelerate this pace.
