Pakistan’s female medical students, doctors or wives?

Pakistan’s 70% students of medical colleges and universities are females but Pakistan is still facing the lack of doctors, why is that so?

There can be many reasons to this but the biggest issue is that most of the female student do not get their medical degrees to be doctor, they choose it as a tool to get married in well-off families.

According to a reports almost 70% of female students in medical do not get into actual practice.

In most of the Pakistan’s prestigious medical schools, female students outshine and outnumber their male counterparts but in reality most of them  never pay off their actual duty in the field.

Health conditions in a country like Pakistan are not up to the mark, as culturally most of the ladies in backward areas of Pakistan do not want to be checked by male doctors while female doctors are not so enough to be sent in those backward areas.

Some times back, a news of 50-50 quota in medical colleges hit social media and it was criticised badly   but the fact is that if women are interesting in catching a husband and not pursuing her career then to fulfill the shortage of doctors in Pakistan, it is the need of time.
