Imran Khan dares govt to accept PTI MNAs resignations

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan Tuesday challenged the government to accept resignations of his party’s National Assembly members.

“Let them make their decision and throw us out if need be…We will run the best election campaign,” said Imran while talking to media in Islamabad.

He said that the PTI doesn’t need to sit in assemblies and that he would himself lead the re-election campaign.

Criticizing the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the PTI chief said that the government needs to stop playing dual game with his party.

“They invited us to attend assembly sessions and then they attempted to ridicule us,” he added.

Imran said that the PTI won more votes after re-elections in different constituencies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said that Inquiry Commission in its report gave 40 observations over failure of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in the last general elections.

The PTI chairman admitted that a few mistakes were made in the intra party election, saying “we learn from our mistakes and will correct them”.

He said that there is no “Qabza group” in PTI, saying that he is a chairman and the party’s constitution allows him to choose his own team.
