LAHORE- A civil judge on Friday issued arrest warrants for Pakistani film actress Meera on petition filed by Atiqur Rahman.
Civil judge issued the arrest warrants and ordered to present her before court on November 17. Civil court issued arrest warrants on the petition filed by her ‘self proclaimed husband’.
The court issued several notices to Meera to appear before the court, but she did not bother to attend the proceedings, nor had she hired any lawyer to pursue the case.
Earlier, the court heard the petition filed by Atiqur Rehman in which he had claimed that Meera was his legal wife and she could not tie her knot with someone else.
Furthermore, Atiqur Rehman said that it was also against the essence of Islam to tie a knot with another man when a woman was already in a legal relationship.
