Misbah’s unique world record in Test matches

PALLEKELE: Pakistan Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq sealed the series deciding win with a huge six over mid on to Jehan Mubarik and became the first ever captain in the world to do so on three different occasions.

It was third time when Misbah finished a Test match with a six; he has done it before against South Africa in United Arab Emirates in 2013 and against Bangladesh in 2011.

Earlier, Pakistan stunned Sri Lanka in final Test of the three-match series as they chased down the mammoth total of 377 runs comfortably on fifth day of the game with seven wickets in hand and clinched the series 2-1.

The win against Sri Lanka has earned them 3rd spot in ICC Test ranking.

Both teams will meet-up in five-match ODI series.
