LAHORE – Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, chaired a high level meeting on Thursday to discuss a progress on the mega project of drinking water in Southern Punjab.
The project aimed at provision of clean water to masses. CM asserted that drinking clean water was the basic right of every citizen of a state and Punjab Government is committed to provide this facility to every citizen.
Shahbaz Sharif has also said that PML(N) government believes in balanced development not only in cities but billions of rupees are also being spent on the development projects in villages.
CM was briefed about the project of Punjab Government regarding the provision of clean drinking water to masses. Project initiated in four districts of Bahawalpur.
Moreover, Shahbaz Sharif was informed that project would be completed in three years at cost of Rs.70 billion. CM directs authorities to complete project in a minimum possible time.
