LAHORE: Four terrorists and 1 Police Officer died during a search operation in Pathan Colony, Rachna Town, Lahore in the early hours of Monday. Police and agency personnel were conducting a search operation on a tip off regarding terrorists present in the area.
A terrorist blew himself during the operation causing 9 lives including that of a police officer during the search operation. One terrorist was shot dead in the cross fire by Police and two were badly wounded who died on way to the hospital for medical aid.
A warning letter was received revealing that terrorists are currently present in Lahore and several senior Muslim League (N) leaders are on their hit list. DPO Sheikhu Pura and forensic experts reached the location to further investigate the incident.
According to Police department 1 rocket launcher, 3 suicide jackets, 5 AK47s, 5 Pistols and 2 Laptops were recovered from the terrorists. Police and agencies were carrying out a search operation aided with search lights until last reports.
