LAHORE – Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif has termed China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) vital for Pakistan to overcome the energy crisis in the country.
After having a meeting with president of Chinese energy company on Saturday, Shahbaz Sharif said that 300 mega watts solar plant would be completed by the end of this year with Chinese cooperation.
Chief Minister said that a solar project of 900 mega watts in Bahawalpur would be completed in the year 2016 and would start functioning at the end of same year.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the projects of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will help in overcoming problems of unemployment and poverty in the region.
He said that peoples’ relations between both the countries have been put on new path due to implementation on development projects and mutual cooperation under CPEC.
