D I Khan – 40 police personnel have been dismissed for their negligence in D I Khan jail break incident on Wednesday.
According to District Police Officer (DPO) the dismissed police personnel included Constables and Head constables, adding that one Assistant Sub-Inspector was also among the expelled police personnel.
Sources said that the dismissed police personnel were the local residents and they were deputed at the time of terrorists attack.
The D I Khan central jail was attacked by terrorist some two years ago. The attack resulted in fleeing of more than two hundred wanted terrorists from the central jail.
The inquiry commission against the police personnel was headed by DPO in order to investigate the negligence adopted by the police personnel at the time of attack.
The terrorists attacked the central jail of D I Khan on July 28, 2013, which claimed lives of five police personnel including four prisoners. However, the attackers successfully set free more than 200 wanted terrorists.
