Artificial rain not possible in Karachi: Pakistan Meteorological Department

KARACHI – Pakistan Meteorological Department said that artificial rain is not possible in Karachi in current situation. 

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) in a statement said that artificial rain can be possible in a season of monsoon.

According to PMD needs clouds at a height of 7000 to 1000 feet with the temperature of five degree Celsius.

Earlier, authorities planning to use the artificial method of rain but this process will take up to a month.

In artificial rain process, chemical sprinkle on clouds through airplanes and these chemical force the clouds to rain.

This process require huge amount of money and too much time after this there is no guarantee whether it will rain or not. Government hinted to take this step because of burning weather in Karachi.

More than 700 persons lost their lives in couple of days due to heatwaves in last four days.
