ISLAMABAD – Moon of Ramadan sighted in different parts of Pakistan, confirming that first day of Ramadan will be observed on Friday.
According to the information moon of Ramadan was sighted in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Abbottabad and other cities of Pakistan.
First Ramadan in Pakistan will observe on Friday but in some areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa people observed fast on Thursday. Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai announced the sighting of moon on Wednesday.
People of Pakistan will offered first traveeh tonight.
Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif offered his best wished to nation on the occasion of fasting month Ramadan.
He said that Pakistan is progressing every day.
Earlier, Minister for Water and Power, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, said that there will be no load shedding in Ramadan during Sahar, Aftar and Taraveeh on Thursday.
While talking to the media, Khawaja Asif cautioned consumer to conserve energy in order to enjoy endless supply of electricity in Ramadan.
“Power generation crossed 16000 MW for the first time in the history of Pakistan,” he added.
Federal minister also informed that power supply will be provided to industrial zone from 7pm to 3am during the month of Ramadan.
