PESHAWAR: A Mosque in Peshawar named Masjid e Qasim Ali Khan has announced first Ramadan to be observed tomorrow (Thursday) on 18th June there in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
A moon sighting committee under supervision of Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai was set up to witness Ramadan crescent moon, said throughout the province more than ten eyewitnesses confirmed moon sighting before committee.
The committee announced to observe first Ramadan tomorrow in KP on the basis of these recommendations.
Earlier, Central Royet e Hilal Committee under supervision of Mufti Munib ur Rehman had reported that first Ramadan will be observed on Friday as no any evidence of Ramadan moon was seen today.
But like every year, Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai of Peshawar’s Qasim Ali Khan Mosque has already announced Ramadan tomorrow.
