MANSEHRA – Dr. Sohail Shehzad resigned from the seat of Vice Chancellor of Hazara University Mansehra, Thenewstribe.com learnt.
According to the reports, a Lecturer, Mohammad Hafeez has also resigned from his seat of Chief Proctor of Proctorial Board.
Earlier, the Hazara University, Mansehra was closed for an indefinite period after a clash between two student groups, which left 12 people injured few days back.
According to the details, police raids continue in the city for the arrests of individuals responsible for opening fire during the clash.
The university was vacated after the clash whereas a case was registered against eight students in Shankiari Police Station in which terrorism provisions were also included.
Eight students, including a female, at Mansehra’s Hazara University were injured when an unidentified person set off a hand grenade during a clash between students and a security guard on campus.
A clash occurred on campus when an argument, which broke out between a student and a security guard, turned violent.
Aerial firing also took place during the clash, although no one was hurt by the firing at the scene.
Taking advantage of the chaos, an unidentified person set off a hand grenade injuring the students.
Police and rescue teams arrived on the scene.
