Quetta firing incident: four policemen killed and three injured

QUETTA – At least four policemen were killed and two others injured when unidentified men opened fire on a vehicle on Thursday morning, sources said.

The sources said that the incident took place in an area of PashtunAbad, when the assailants riding a motorcycle opened fire on a police mobile, adding that four policemen died and two others injured in the incident.

Despite having large reserves of oil and gas, Balochistan remains one of Pakistan s most impoverished provinces, and bomb blasts and attacks on police and security forces are common.
