Blind people end protest after succesful dialogue with government

LAHORE – The union of blind people has agreed to end protest after a successful dialogue with Punjab government.

According to media reports, provincial government has assured protesters that blind people would be given suitable jobs before the end of October this year.

Earlier, blind people protested to block metro-bus route near Kalma Chowk in Lahore.

 

Protesters staged a rally in Lahore to advocate for their rights. According to media reports, protesters blocked movement of metro bus for several hours as they staged sit-in on metro bus route.
