 Pro Pakistan Citizen Sentenced To Death in Bangladesh

DHAKA – The Government of Bangladesh has announced death sentence to a pro Pakistan citizen of Bangladesh on Tuesday.

The Bangladesh government announced death penalty to a 68 year old, Syed Hassan Ali, on charges of pro Pakistan Ideology, adding that his father was also against the creation of Bangladesh.

Sources said that Bangladesh police declared him absconder in the case, adding that the death penalty was also announced in the absence of Syed Hassan Ali.

It is pertinent to mention that Bangladesh government had earlier executed Jamat-i-Islami, Chief Motiur Rahaman Nizami, on charges of leading the execution of intellectuals, mass killings and other offences during 1971 war.
