ISLAMABAD – The Economic Survey of Pakistan for the fiscal year 2014-15 is unveiled by finance minister, Ishaq Dar here in news conference.
The survey covers the development of all the important sectors of economy, including growth and investment, agriculture, manufacturing, mining, fiscal development, money and credit, capital markets and inflation and debt and liabilities.
According to survey report, GDP growth rate stands at 4.2 percent, the inflation rate has reduced to single digit and per capita income increase to 1315 dollars.
4100 new companies have been registered in last fiscal year, while the amount of imports decreased by 1.6 percent and imports decreased by 3 percent, economic survey revealed.
Finance minister said that value of Pakistani Rupee gained appreciation in market against US dollar.
According to economic survey, agriculture growth remains 2.9 percent against target of 3.3 percent, while total investments stands at 3.1 percent of GDP.
Tax collection increased by 13 percent and unemployment has slightly decreased, survey report revealed.
