NATO Helicopter Crashes In Afghanistan

AFGHANISTAN –  A NATO helicopter has crashed in the Koh-i-Safi district of central Parwan province.

A Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, said the fighters shot and downed the helicopter, killing all aboard.

An official said the helicopter crashed in the Karez area after hitting a mountain.U.S. and NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) officials in Kabul confirmed a helicopter had crashed but gave no details.

The Pentagon has said the cause of the crash is being investigated. However, there are no reports of casualties.
