PESHAWAR – Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, has so far gained the maximum seats of 132 in local government election held in Khyber PakhtunKhwa on May 30th.
“According to unofficial results of LG election held in KPK, the party in power has won so far 126 seats leaving behind all other political parties,” said sources.
Sources revealed that Independent candidates have so far scored 66 seats.
Similarly, Awami National Party has won 51 seats, Jamaat-i-Islami has secured 49 seats, and Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) has won 41 seats in the local government election.
“Among the other political parties, Pakistan People Party (PPP) has got success in scoring 23 seats whereas, Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) has managed to secure 9 seats so far”, told sources.
According to reports, 84 thousand and 420 hundred candidates submitted their papers to contest over a total of 41 thousand and 762 seats.
