KARACHI – Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Axact, Shoaib Sheikh, Vice Chairman, Waqas Ateeq, and other five directors of the claimed IT company Axact on Wednesday.
FIA has taken Shoaib Sheikh in its custody on Tuesday night, and then arrested him soon after filing an FIR against him on Wednesday.
His partner Waqas Ateeq and other five directors are also arrested for the charge of Fake Degrees scandal by Axact.
The arrested persons have been taken to unknown place, and will be inquired for fake degrees scam, which was going on in the whole world.
FIA has sealed the Axact’s Karachi office as well, and during the inquiry of computers and Server of Axact FIA found solid proofs of company’s illegal business of issuing fake degrees.
During the inquiry, FIA has found the data of thousands of students and hundreds of fake universities from the Axact’s IT Labs.
According to credible sources, FIA will also investigate the matter of Fake degrees scam from the wife of Shoaib Sheikh.
FIA also maintains that they have expanded the scope of its interrogation, and they will also probe the previous life of Shoaib Sheikh.
In the recent development, FIA has written a letter  to American and Britain’s government to help prob the scandal, which they have accepted and ensured their cooperation.
During the investigation of FIA, meanwhile, Axact’s employees being on the guilty side, removed the photos of award and certificates from its website and from all the web pages.
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of America has given surety to Pakistan authorities of help in probing Axact’s scam, the said message is communicated via foreign office.
