Police Need To Be De-politicized; Former Governor Punjab

DASKA – Former Governor Punjab, Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar, attended the funeral prayer of the deceased Advocate and Daska Bar Association President, Rana Khalid Abbass, in Daska on Tuesday.

Former Governer Punjab, while talking to media, said that he strongly condemns the incident.

He also announced to stage a protest to express solidarity with the lawyers community, said sources.

He further said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf is standing firm on the side of lawyers and will register its concerns at every forum regarding the killing of lawyers.

Chaudhary Sarwar said that had the culprits of Model Town Incident been punished, this incident would not have taken place.

He said that such incidents would occur in future as well unless the culprits were brought to justice.

Furthermore, Chaudhary Sarwar stressed the need to depoliticizing police otherwise the situations would keep worsening.
