DASKA – The situation in Daska has become extremely alarming after police opens fire at the protesting lawyers.
The president of Daska Bar Rana Khalid, along with another lawyer Irfan Chohan, has succumbed to injuries after receiving bullets.
According to the sources, the lawyers had staged a protest against the police in front of City Police Station in Daska.
The situation got worse as the skirmishes started between the SHO and the protesting lawyers. The police opened fire at the lawyers during which the president of Daska bar died at the spot.
The general public and the lawyers have started gathering in front of the police station to stage their protest. with the worsening conditions, more police has been called in.
The circular road has also been blocked by the lawyers in the aftermath of the incident. The IG Punjab, Mushtaq Sukhera has taken notice of the incident, issuing orders for the arrest of SHO.
The Chief Minister Punjab has also given the directives to hold strict inquiry of the incident.
