PARIS – The parliament of France unanimously approves bill against the wastage of food in hotels and restaurants.
Sources revealed that the member of Socialist Party in French Parliament introduced a bill to avoid the food wastage.
The context of bill also raised the issue of potential food crisis, world is going to face in next couple of decades.
Moreover, during the debate over the bill, leader from opposition said that such steps are vital to ensure the food security of the country.
According to this act, hotels and restaurants across the country would not be allowed to dump extra food; rather they are subject to hand it over to charity organizations or it will be served to animals.
