SAWAT – A mild earthquake shakes Sawat and the nearby areas with its successive waves.
The seismography department Peshawar reports that the magnitude recorded was 4.2 on rector scale.No causality or any damage has been reported immediate to the shocks.
The depth of shocks was 121 kilometers and the origin of the earthquake was Hindu Kush in Chitral KPK and Afghanistan.
Owing to the geographical anatomy, the region has been highly susceptible to mild magnitude earthquakes in the past, which often find their place in the schedule.
The tectonic plates in the region often find huge interstices which makes the region more vulnerable to shakes.
