MIRPUR: Pakistan in strong position as Green Shirts after setting massive 550 runs total against Bangladesh now required nine wickets to win the final Test match of the series.
Pakistan set the massive total of 550 thanks to aggressive batting of skipper Misbah-ul-Haq who made 82.
Bangladesh in reply lost the wicket of Imrul Kayes who was undone by an unplayable delivery of Yasri Shah.
Tamim Iqbal and Mominul Haque were still unbeaten at stumps day 3.
Pakistan dominated the second day of final Test, as the Green-Shirts managed to pick up five wickets of Bangladesh on 107 at stumps.
Day 2:
Pakistan after posting 557 on loss of 8 wickets thanks to Azhar Ali’s maiden century double century.
Ali made 226 while Asad Shafiq scored 107. Both added 207 for the fifth wicket for the visitors.
Shuvagata Hom and Taijul Islam picked up two wickets while Shakib Al Hasan grabbed one wicket in the day.
Host in reply lost five wickets with just 107 runs on the score board. Imrul Kayes scored 38 while Mahmudullah made 28.
Yasir Shah and Junaid Khan picked up two wickets in the day while Wahab Raiz managed to pick a wicket as well.
Shakib is still batting on 14 at the end of the day.
Day 1:
Younis Khan completed his 29th century as he scored outstanding 148 while Azhar Ali complete his eight ton and was unbeaten on 127 at stumps day.
Both batsmen put on 250 for the third wicket.
Mohammad Hafeez lost his wicket for (8) and Sami Aslam (19) in the morning session to slide to 58-2 after Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field.
Younis was dismissed shortly before stumps, but skipper Misbah-ul Haq kept Azhar company at the close on nine.
Mohammad Shahid picked up two wickets while Taijul Islam managed to pick up one for the host side.
