RAWALPINDI – An Accountability Court Rawalpindi grant exemption to Asif Ali Zardari against the Illegal Assets case till May 13 on Tuesday.
The lawyer of Zardari submitted the request to grant appearing exemption to Zardari citing medical reasons.
The lawyer, Farooq H. Naik, said that I requested the Panel to grant exemption or forward the hearing as on the medical grounds.
Court accepts the request of the lawyer and grants him exemption to appear before the court today, and hearing adjorned till May 13.
According to the reference, Zardari and former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto are accused of illegally acquiring their assets. The case was also tried in a Swiss court.
But in the recent development, court accepted the request of lawyer of Zardari and granted him relaxation till May 13, where the case will proceed from May 13 onwards.
