MIR ALI – The Prime Minister Mian Muhammad visits North Waziristan to analyze the progress of repatriation of internally displaced persons on Friday.
Talking to the media in Mir Ali Prime Minister said that return of IDP’s to their home is very welcoming.
He said that Pakistan Army has restored Peace in North Waziristan.
While praising the efforts of Pakistan Army he said that Pakistan Army has given many sacrifices for the sake of Pakistan, and stability of the country.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by Army chief General Raheel Sharif, Governor KPK Sardar Mehtab Khan Abbasi and the Fedeeral Minister Abdul Qadir Baloch.
PM vows the complete extermination of all kinds of terrorism from the tribal areas and stresses upon the quick rehabilitation and return of the IDPs to their places. “Stringent security arrangements shall be made during the repatriation process”, said Mian Nawaz Sharif.
Besides the Pakistan Army, the political administration and the Fata Disaster Management Authority are also facilitating the process.
With the launch of military operation Zarb-e-Azb against militants in the troubled North Waziristan agency of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) on Sunday 15th June 2014, temporary migration of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from the area of operation to safer locations had started.
The government initially assigned the task to the Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) for rehabilitation of the IDPs but afterwards, the Government had also decided to engage National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to coordinate with Federally Administered Tribal Areas Disaster Management Authority (FDMA) to solve problems of IDPs more effectively.
