ISLAMABAD – The former test captain of Team Pakistan, Imran Khan, said in his twitter message that we can save Pakistan Cricket only by bringing structural reforms in the domestic cricket.
In his tweet Captain said that there are shortcomings in our domestic cricket, that’s why we are unable to produce refined and skilled cricket for the last two decades or so.
He said that, “I have been striving hard for uplift the domestic cricket culture for the last 35 years.”
He said that improving domestic cricket is the only way we can improve our game and bring ourselves to the level of international standards.
Talking about the teams recent bad performances, he said that Pakistan team is passing through its bad phase.
The captain says that domestic cricket has been witnessing down fall since 1980.
Criticizing the officials running the board he said that non-professionals are running the cricket board which is the sole cause of cricket’s downfall.
He says that those running and managing the cricket’s affairs have got nothing to do with cricket and have no cricket background.
He suggested that relevant persons should be brought into the cricket board and domestic cricket to be reformed in order to save the Pakistan cricket.
