KARACHI – The leader of MQM, Altaf Hussain, said that elections in NA-246 are helding like the occupied territory.
While addressing to the workers of the MQM in the Jinnah Ground, Altaf Hussain, said that NA-246 is treated as if it is an occupied territory, and the Karachiites are treated like the third grade citizens.
He said that there is no punishment of 14 years for holding illegal weapons in Punjab and KPK, then, why in Karachi?
If government really want to eliminate the illegal weapons from Pakistan then it should act in an impartial way throughout the Pakistan, he pleaded.
He said that why government is asking people of Karachi to keep their ID cards always with them.
He demanded the Prime Minister of the country and the Chief Minister of Sindh to immediately hold census in the Sindh and conduct local bodies election.
He said that the local bodies system of 2001 be again restored in Sindh and government should announce mass transit project for Karachi.
He said that there is no mass transit or Metro in the world’s seven biggest city.
He screamed that Punjabi Taliban has been living throughout the country including Islamabad, then why the operation is only directed towards MQM.
He said that People of Karachi are freedom fighter and they continue to fight the battle of their freedom even I stayed or not.
