MIRPUR: Soumaya Sarkar ton helped Bangladesh to whitewash Pakistan for the first time in history in One Day International (ODI) series.
Bangladesh off to a flying start chasing 250 runs against Pakistan as they lost their first wicket on 145 runs in shape of Tamim Iqbal who made 64.
While his opening partner went on to score the big century against Pakistan and marks Bangladesh’s victory.
He made unbeaten 127 runs. Bangladesh easily chased the target in 39.2 over with eight wickets in hand.
With this defeat Pakistan has dropped to eight spot in International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings.
Junaid Khan took two wickets in the match.
Pakistan despite with a terrific start lost the way at the end of the innings as they lost 6 wickets in span of 40 runs.
Skipper Azhar Ali once again led from the front and scored a maiden century for the side while Haris Sohail batted beautifully for 52 runs.
Debutant Sami Aslam contributed 45 to guide the total to 250 runs mark.
Mashrafe Mortaza, Arafat Sunny and Shakib Al Hasan picked up two wickets each for the side.
