Pakistan Team Needs To Save Its Ranking

Pakistan is at the seventh position in the International Cricket Council (ICC) ODI ranking with 95 points, but if Pakistan lose the ODI series by 3-0 then it has to face the worst ranking of its existence by dropping onto the 8th position.

However, there are no chances for Bangladesh to improve its standing in the ranking even if it beats Pakistan by 3-0.

If Bangladesh wins by 3-0 it will help Caribbean team to upgrade their status to seventh spot and Pakistan will fall at the eighth spot.

If Pakistan Team lost by 2-1 that will not affect the ranking position of both the countries but will reduce the points of Pakistan from 95 to 92 points in the ranking table.Recent Ranking of the ICC is:

Other stats suggests that Pakistan has never lost a series against Bangladesh, and Bangladesh won the last ODI against Pakistan during the World Cup 1999.

But this is for the first time in the history of Cricket that Bangladesh won the two consecutive ODI matches against Pakistan.

The third ODI to be played today between the two teams, while Bangladesh has already bagged the three match series by 2-0.

Bangladesh has nothing to lose in terms of ranking whether they won or loss the third ODI against Pakistan, but Pakistan has to fight the battle of its Ranking.
