Pakistan tour of Bangladesh might be postponed

ISLAMABAD: Following the execution of Jamaat-e-Islami leader Mohammad Kamaruzzaman in Bangladesh, Pakistan cricket team is likely to postpone their tour due to security concerns.

According to reports, Bangladesh authorities on Saturday hanged a top Islamist leader Mohammad Kamaruzzaman for overseeing a massacre during the nation’s 1971 independence war against Pakistan.

Now Pakistan team is expected to postpone Bangladesh tour due to security concerns, according foreign ministry sources.

Pakistan foreign ministry is currently observing the developing situation in Bangladesh. After reviewing that they will decided whether to allow Pakistan team to visit Bangladesh or not.

The tour of Bangladesh is scheduled to begin from April 17.
