Duminy, Tahir help South Africa to restrict Sri Lanka to 133

SYDNEY: Spin magic worked for South Africa as Proteas have restricted Sri Lanka to a low 133 runs total in first quarter final of World Cup at Sydney Cricket Ground.

Kyle Abbott and Dale Styne started the carnage of Sri Lankan batting which was followed by JP Duminy and Imran Tahir bowling Sri Lanka out  on 133 runs in 37.2 overs.

Dumini picked up his first hat-trick as well as first World Cup hat-trick for Proteas. However Tahir picked up three wickets as well.

Kumar Sangakkara scored 45 while Lahiru Thirimanne scored 41 runs.

South Africa required 134 runs to qualify for the Semi finals.
