ADELAIDE: Pakistan senior batsmen Younus Khan has said that he would not reject if he was offered to captain the national cricket team even today.
In an interview with BBC Urdu, Younus Khan said that he had committed many mistakes in the past and rejected offer lead the national team, which was a mistake.
“I have committed many mistakes in my life. Captaining the national team is an honour for anyone. It sounds great if you are captain of the team and perform well as a senior batsman. I am desirous when it left the team it should not be struggling rather its doing well,” he added.
The senior batsmen, who is struggling with a bad form in the ongoing world cup, however said that he always tried to play for national team on the basis of his performance.
Regarding his form in the ongoing World Cup, he said that though he failed to score big against South Africa,but the 30 plus runs gave him much needed confidence.
He added that the green-shirts were playing good game but the batsmen need to take responsibility and score runs.
